Now is the opportunity to share your comments on the first draft (http://www.globalreporting.org/NR/rdonlyres/F565E368-A897-4941-8DA1-B847D12EBFE1/3827/AOSSdraftfirstPCP1.pdf) of the GRI Sustainability Reporting Guideline for Airport Operators. During the Public Comment Period (closing date: 5 March 2010), the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) invites Practitioners to share their knowledge and expertise of Airports through a survey (http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/T9MCW9Q). Join GRI in identifying performance indicators of specific relevance to Airports Operators in order to assist them in addressing and reporting the main sector specific social and environmental impacts. Your comments will be revised by an international, multi-stakeholder Working Group using a consensus seeking process. This sector specific reporting guidance will be integrated part of the GRI G3 Reporting Guidelines for the Airport Operators sector. Please consult the Guidelines (http://www.globalreporting.org/ReportingFramework/ReportingFrameworkDownloads/?dm_t=0,0,0,0,0) and keep them in mind while reading the draft document and answering the survey.

The Global Reporting Initiative has pioneered the development of the world’s most widely used sustainability reporting framework and is committed to its continuous improvement and application worldwide. This framework sets out the principles and indicators that organizations can use to measure and report their economic, environmental, and social performance. The cornerstone of the framework is the Sustainability Reporting Guidelines. The third version of the Guidelines – known as the G3 Guidelines - was published in 2006, and is a free public good.
