This company was created by Mexican designers to promote an awareness of Mexico’s cultural diversity through design objects, which showcase the country’s rich heritage in a modern, contemporary style.
Pineda Covalín’s collections are inspired by pre-Columbian manuscripts, specific Native American styles, Mexican traditions, mystic Mexico, historical monuments, nature and endangered species of animals.
Currently there are Pineda Covalín stores in the airports at Mexico City, Cancún, Cozumel and Puerto Vallarta, as well as in Madrid, Spain. Our product line includes ties, scarves, shawls, bags, shoes, belts and watches, among other items. Each has a brief description of the inspiration behind the design, so that when you purchase a Pineda Covalín product you take away a little piece of Mexico.
We also have an exclusive line of jewelry including our own designs and those of renowned Mexican designers, such as Marta Vargas, María Luisa Fernández, Ofelia Murrieta, Cecilia Mauries, Neus, Daniel Espinoza, Gustavo Helguera and Angel Ortiz, among others. In Cancún International Airport you can find us in Terminal 2 (Unit 19, Boarding Lounge A) and in Terminal 1 (unit 63). Our opening hours in Terminal 2 are Monday to Sunday, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
